• Plan, direct, and coordinate Health, Safety, and Environmental obligations for active mine operations and legacy sites• Translate regulations and permit requirements for operations, as well as effectively communicate with regulatory agencies • Managed environmental reclamation and closure projects while simultaneously developing sustainability strategies for ongoing operations that are both cost-effective and minimize long-term environmental liabilities• Develop and implement environmental standards and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and Company policies and initiatives• Assisted with the development of Environmental Management System (EMS)• Develop and present environmental training programs for the work force including annual refresher and new hire training • Provided design support for the testing and implementation of new water treatment equipment and facilities• Functioned as project manager for the construction of the new water treatment facilities and installation of equipment• Established sampling and analysis procedures; compiled, analyzed, and evaluated the data that was generated and presented summary reports to regulators and upper management • Mentor and develop junior staff and technicians in office and field capacities

-Maintain compliance with all regulatory authorities including but not limited to the EPA, IDEQ, IDWR, etc..-Manage and perform water quality sampling and analysis programs for all process water discharges as well as for storm water run off (SWPP) including routine inspections and maintenance of BMPs. -Perform various project management and oversight. -Inspect all mine tailing impoundment structures throughout the mine for internal dam phreatic water levels and other integrity metrics.
