Performs the overall management of Patriot Maritime.

Responsible for the world-wide operations, maintenance and repair, engineering, crewing, and logistics of Patriot’s fleet of government contracted vessels on a daily basis. Ensures reliability, readiness, operational risk management, regulatory compliance, safety and security, quality controls, and adherence to government contract requirements. Supports business development and bid proposals. Fleet includes 19 RO/RO’s and one Special Mission vessel.

Manages cargo ships under contract to the Military Sealift Command. Oversees the technical, engineering, regulatory compliance, safety and quality management, and financial functions in support of the ships’ daily operations. Supervises assigned fleet Port Engineers/Vessel Superintendents/Technical Managers. Conducts special projects including development and implementation of new government and commercial business.

Directs the deployment and support of vessels for anti-piracy security escort services for a private client in the high risk areas of the Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea, and other world wide danger zones.

Captain responsible for the commissioning of iis $525M new-buildr. This is a 418-foot ship with a crew of 125 officers and enlisted of all grades from apprentice through journeyman to master.

Supervised staff of 12 military and civil service employees to perform fiscal, policy and management analysis, review departmental budget requests in the context of the strategic budget plan, and propose alternatives for a $275M budget.

Vessel master. This is a 378-foot ship with a crew of 175 officers and enlisted of all grades from apprentice through journeyman to master and an annual operating budget of $5M. Led team on independent public safety operations, training, and international engagement throughout the Pacific ocean. Oversaw the maintenance and operation of a $200M capital facility (ship).

Directed day to day asset management of 23 ships, 7 special boat/law enforcement teams (3500 people), with a staff of 25 military and civil service employees and a $35M budget. Coordinated cross-program budgeting, scheduling, maintenance and acquisition decisions. Project manager for the location of new units and facilities. Collaborated with city planning and port authorities to coordinate local zoning and land use issues, environmental impacts, and local political considerations .
