Lead Design Engineer
Current-Key Responsibilities--Lead engineer in charge of the engineering, design, testing and prototyping. -Manages portions of the manufacturing including CNC plasma and press brake. -Responsible for managing complex BOMs and COGM analysis-Emphasizes design for manufacturability while maintaining COGM -Design and Engineering Achievements--Engineered and designed a compact and agile high clearance tractor capable of hydraulically adjusting both track width and under frame height on the fly.-Designed all weldments for structural integrity while traversing rough terrains using both FEA analysis and physical tests.-Designed engine compartment to pass Tier 4 Final application review.-Engineered hydraulic drive and auxiliary systems capable of a wide range of field applications.-Designed intuitive operator station for ergonomic comfort and electro-hydraulic control.-Certified machine to comply with EU Directive 2006/42/EC. -Manufacturing Management and Optimization--Implemented new and time saving manufacturing processes which overall allowed two persons to accomplish the tasks of 5 people in less time.-Designed and implemented a system that capable of burning holes/patterns in structural tubing using a CNC plasma table that was already on location. This eliminated the tedious and time consuming process of laying out and drilling each hole without the need of purchasing new piece of machinery.-Implemented a "nesting" system for CNC plasma operation that combines multiple jobs to best utilize raw material and machine time.-Removed operators from decision making and simplified job dispatching for smoother workflow.
