I am a highly motivated professional who is both creative and analytically minded, customer service savvy, an entrepreneur, author, and coach with over 25 years providing extraordinary customer service, account management, as well as purchasing and inventory management. Proven success in bringing businesses to the next level in identifying challenges while simultaneously proposing and implementing solutions and strategies for optimization.I am both a person who dreams and takes action. When I crossed the finish line of my first IRONMAN triathlon in 1993, it was my dream to one day open my own specialty running store. It took me 10 years, and in 2004 myself and a couple of business partners open Everyday Athlete in Kirkland, WA. Successfully operating an independent small business was an extensive and invaluable learning experience which has served me well in my roles at Blueseventy where I work in Product Development, Customer Service, and Procurement and Inventory Management.As an endurance athlete, I've completed 9 x IRONMAN Triathlons and over 45 x 70.3 IRONMAN Triathlons as well as several marathons. I've coached a couple thousand triathletes and runners and have found my coaching niche is with first time IRONMAN athletes and runners looking to qualify for the Boston Marathon. One of my strengths has been getting the athletes I coach to increase their self-belief which ultimately is what leads to them accomplishing their goals. This self-belief transfers over to other areas of their life, and is in my opinion, my greatest coaching accomplishment.I feel very fortunate to have created for a role for myself within Product Development at Blueseventy as it allows me to tap into my creative side. A couple of my proudest design projects are ones which have led directly to a stronger bottom line for Blueseventy; which the entrepreneur in me is very proud of! Previously, the number one most returned/exchanged item was the Thermal Skull Cap. It was the first product I changed by designing an adjustable strap. In the first year, returns/exchanges dropped by 95%. The other major change I made was to create a new elliptical neck design for our wetsuits. The neck of a swimming wetsuit is the most complained about feature and most challenging for new swimmers to adapt to which, as you would imagine, leads to quite a few returns. Changing the neck to the new elliptical design has led to fewer returns/exchanges and has increased customer satisfaction. We are all capable of more than we allow ourselves to believe.
