I assisted the delivery of a large-scale pipeline and treatment plant scope in a Engineering capcity. Working closely with the scheme manager and project management team. I am in charge of various crews, ensuring we deliver the scope in a safe and cost effective manner. I manage the full life circle of the project and ensure I meet the required milestones to keep the project on its critical path. I have been instilled in developing and managing the pressure testing scope on the project and have been asked to sit on the commissioning team at the end of the capital works.This project has become a dayworks contract, which in turn sees me performing my engineer role for the client, but also ensuring I deal with all the requirements of my current employer. Which includes compiling and submitting end-of-month costings and claims. Approving all invoices, timesheets, and leave forms. All servicing requirements for plant and equipment. HR matters for my current workforce on the project.Further on from the management duties also liaising with potential new clients and pricing new works.

This role was about forward planning but also dealing with reactive situations on site. From day one readiness to handover, I was part of the entire projects life cycle. I would have a variety of responsibilities that needed managing, this included OHS, quality, client engagements, on ground employees and subcontractors, deadlines, budgets and procurement. I had the opportunity to run a couple of small projects with the guidance of the state manager. Which included cost tracking and submitting claims to the client.
