I have 8 years of working in a Level 1 Trauma Hospital imaging patients from our trauma center and also in the O.R. Main duties include diagnostic and trauma imaging in the main department and in the E.D. I spend a 3-4 days a week in the O.R, imaging patients as needed by the orthopedic, urologic and neurologic doctors. I also am responsible for portable x-rays in the E.D and other places in the hospital. This involves using X-ray equipment from Philips, Kodak, GE and Siemens. As a "PACS Super User", I have the authority to delete appropriate images from PACS or move/merge studies to appropriate folders. I am very involved with training X-ray students, with the position of Preceptor for Concorde Career Institute students. I act as a liason between the students and the school, tutoring the students and guiding them in protocols of an X-ray tech.My 10 years of experience as a small-business owner in Landscape and Gardening helps me to understand excellent service standards and practices. It has taught me that using resources wisely and treating everyone with respect and courtesy help build working relationships and customer/patient trust.
