After graduating from the University of Alabama and playing 4 years of College Baseball there, I was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks. I went on to play in their minor league system before being called up to the MLB in June of 2004. For the next 10 years, I spent time in both the Minor Leagues and Major Leagues, playing in the MLB for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Tampa Bay Rays, & Los Angeles Dodgers. Upon Completion of my baseball career, I opened a local business in Tuscaloosa, AL called CrossFit Candor. For the last 10 years, we have developed a community of health and fitness that has increased the overall well-being of our community before, during and post-pandemic. In 2018, my wife and I started a Nonprofit "Candor Power Hour" serving people in our community who have special needs. We work 1-1 with them increasing independence and physical abilities to allow them to do more in their daily lives. In 2016, I also began an enjoyable career with Crimson Tide Productions and ESPN working as a color analyst for collegiate baseball. It's my privilege to broadcast home Crimson Tide games and serve as a contract employee for ESPN broadcasting college games throughout the country. Throughout my time in Alabama, the MLB, ESPN and serving our community at CrossFit Candor I have developed incredible connections and abilities. I am actively looking for ways to increase my reach and expand/develop my skill set.
