I am a Partner with RSM US LLP (formerly McGladrey LLP), a leading provider of assurance, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market. My technical expertise in audit and accounting include: business combinations; consolidations/variable interest entities; foreign currency translations / re-measurements; financial instruments; derivatives and hedging; revenue recognition involving multiple-element arrangements, including software licensing agreements; goodwill, intangible and long-lived asset impairments; fair value measurements; and, stock-based compensation. I have also led several international group audits, working on engagements in numerous foreign countries. I speak German at an advanced level, and speak Russian at an intermediate level.Prior to joining Assurance Group of RSM US, I served in the firm's Financial Advisory Services Group with an emphasis in the area of business valuation, where I gained experience related to determining fair value for financial reporting requirements, especially in the areas of identifying and valuing intangible assets acquired in business combinations and testing entities’ goodwill, definite and indefinite-life intangible assets for impairment. Prior to joining RSM US, I served as a financial controller of the German business unit of an international real estate development and management company. Prior to that, I was a senior audit associate with Deloitte & Touche LLP.
