Licensed independent architect. Past experience has been in medium to large scale civic, commercial & multi-family, with occasional single-family residential. Specialization has been in planning and design of Mixed-use urban environments. While I am still active in this type of work, more recently I have transitioned to a specialization in historically and urbanistically sensitive public buildings, spaces, and public art. An example of this is my continuing contract as Baltimore's Recreation and Parks architect where I lead efforts to build new flagship recreation and fitness facilities, parks large and small, and restore incredible historic structures such as Conservatories, Nature Centers, and Schools.My work is enriched by successful high-profile international design competition work and public art. Additionally I am active in promoting positive development in the downtown area, especially in my home neighborhood - Mount Vernon.
