Lance started his engineering career at a large municipal consulting firm in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area where he gained experience on a wide variety of water resources projects over his decade tenure, ranging from detailed design to master planning. He was subsequently recruited by a stormwater product manufacturer/rep, where he was the sole engineer responsible for support of their stormwater quality devices and underground storage system. During his 5 years there he became intimately familiar with the stormwater product industry, eventually leading to him to start his own company in 2013, Momentum Environmental. Momentum started as a consulting firm for stormwater product manufacturers, and shortly after formation research and development began for The Preserver, a simple, effective and affordable gravity separator.
