WHAT I DO: Workforce development is my passion. I develop learning solutions that enable individuals and organizations to reach higher and achieve more. As a driven university educator, who is committed to a scholar-practitioner career track, I serve industry workforce development needs while simultaneously teaching my craft and exposing students to my first-hand experiences. HOW I DO IT: First, I focus on the skills and competencies of what an individual must be able to do in an occupation. I then identify the expected level of performance to create a plan to reach every learner and achieve performance goals. WHY IT WORKS: In an ever-changing world, one must look past the learning (fads) trends and utilize proven-effective methodologies, based on scientific research and years of practice. As a scholar-practitioner, I am able to integrate my years of experience and knowledge to ensure required goals are achieved. HOW IT WORKS: The first step to begin transforming learners is scheduling a strategy session to discuss goals and challenges. This is a powerful opportunity to discover various barriers to learning and performance. I then provide a high-level assessment of what is missing and why expected results are not being achieved. WHY IT MATTERS: Highly skilled, competent, and adaptive workers are crucial to compete in today’s highly competitive and ever-changing business environment.
