The Center for Academic Success & Advising (CASA) serves the NNU community by collaborating with students, faculty, and staff to implement best educational practices. CASA leads by modeling a growth mindset, engaging students in metacognitive processes, reinforcing resilience, and participating in scholarship to strengthen NNU’s values of truth, transformation, community, and service. CASA promotes a proactive student-centric approach to increase academic success and responsible student engagement through an appreciative advising lens. CASA Academic Success Coaches foster the development of the whole person by helping students become self-directed, motivated, responsible decision-makers and guiding students in degree completion, leading to timely graduation. Success Coaches proactively manage a determined caseload of students during their first two years of coursework to ensure they have accurate information, support, resources, and guidance. The goal is to help students thrive and persist in transitioning into their major successfully and, further, to graduation.Journeys is NNU’s outdoor recreation program for students. The Journeys Director leads and coordinates a co-educational, dynamic program. By sharing the roles of Journeys Director and Academic Success Coach, NNU seeks to apply a holistic approach to education, including the physical, emotional, academic, and spiritual components of God's creative work.

Lance Howard is the Director of Club Sports and Recreation at NNU. He is responsible for the recruitment, direction and oversight of the newly formed Lacrosse Club, in addition, to supporting the new Soccer Club and the SGA Journeys Outfitting Co. outdoor recreation club.
