They were chosen for their enthusiasm, sense of humor, great customer service, and positive attitudes.►Creating Procedures and Training Materials – I made sure the staff was prepared for problems and emergencies by creating an emergency procedure manual and a book of important vendor phone #’s. The emergency procedure manual covered fire and alarms and what and what to do in each case an alarm went off.► Computerizing The Operation - I installed the current resident information, formerly on ledger cards, into the Web-Based Yardi Property Management Accounting Software system and OSCAR Reservation Software. I maintained both as we turned over resident tenants and units to corporate extended stay units. This also included posting rents and preparing bank deposits for twice weekly pickup. There were two computers at the front desk and the staff was instructed to keep a daily log of all that occurred during their shift. This came in very handy for legal in dealing with problem tenants.

    Over 300 classroom computers needed complete re-imaging on a daily basis. Marketing would sell private class to bring in income. We in IT always made them happen, and on time, regardless of staff, time nor resource constraints. Servers were always maintained for performance and space, company employees were always supported for Help Desk Issues.• Scheduling and Managing Interns – I had as many as 3 interns at any one time to manage and create a schedule of activities to accomplish each day.• Making Sure The Microsoft Tech Class Images Were Current – Every Microsoft tech class had an approved class computer model for each separate computer and had to be updated prior to every new class.• Active Directory Controls – We maintained Active Directory .controls for classroom security lockdown, software installations, Organization Units, Software Updates.• Server Diagnosis and Maintenance –The many servers (as many as 6-10) were always maintained for problems, space considerations, and image storing. Servers were upgraded and switched on a on-going basis as we needed.• We Always balanced both and kept smiling. Helpdesk for 300 student computers & 20 Staff computers.• Paperwork, Keeping the Communications Going - I started the procedures of computerized log “handoff’s” so that the daytime System Administrator. Could pass the day’s information and activities to their evening counterpart. (16 hours each day were covered)• Handling Disasters, Above and Beyond – Twice when the pipes ruptured, I kept fast flowing water away from the servers, in the basement, by sweeping the rushing water away from the server racks. The day-to-day classroom “disasters” were always fixed without problem.• Router and VPN Settings- Each classroom was segmented away from the rest of the Network and other classroom settings. Each Tech Class had its own DHCP server. . I worked with DHCP, DNS & routers to separate the classroom systems from the interior infrastructure .
