This includes tax considerations related to software sales.• Identified a shortfall in funding required to complete million-dollar program and worked with management to avoid a $116,000 loss. Helped devise a mitigation plan to reduce costs to stay within budget but still deliver required results to the customer. Our actions resulted in our next option year being exercised. •Participates in the preparation of direct, indirect and occupancy budgets and schedules for all contract work and internal work. Performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, profit, estimates-at- completion and variance analysis. • Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding from the government. • Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.• Prepares the pricing information for government and commercial estimates and proposals using a cost model. Uses pivot tables to create financial exhibits. Reviews proposal request requirements to determine the format of the cost presentations and what cost information is required. • Run financial queries and build ad hoc financial reports for analysis and cost reporting in support of direct tasks or B&P projects. Prepares monthly financial reports and updates information for external reporting including graphs. • Analyzes contracts of increasing size and complexity. Conducts monthly internal project reviews with Contracts, Finance, and Program Management using overhead presentations and prepares business area corporate planning information.

• Constructed a decision-making model for a $15M program to determine how much funding to allocate to a dozen subcontractors periodically within funding limitations and profit goals, reducing the turnover time to release these funds to the subcontractors from weeks to days.• Identified unpaid invoices for over 30 subcontractors supporting our projects and worked to get about $700K in arrears paid. These payment delays had a significant impact on our customer’s assessment of our company as several subcontractors complained to them about us and threatened to stop work. These payment issues could have jeopardized existing and future business opportunities with our customers.• Planned most efficient way to track and report costs within the company’s accounting system by mapping out how a project should be setup to collect and provide data. • Prepared several complex monthly customer deliverables with graphs, reflecting subcontractor invoice accruals and the impact of planned labor adjustments between delivery orders or contract line items as required. • Wrote narratives for these reports that encompassed current and pending issues and explained complex concepts with detail and clarity. • Created and maintained detailed spreadsheets for each subcontractor that tracked changes to these budgets. Adjusted budgets each month to reflect actual expenses incurred and recalculated available obligated funds after these adjustments. • Maintained records with clear audit trails and reviewed accounting system records to assure consistency and accuracy between the two, identifying and correcting discrepancies as required for several subcontractors supporting our projects. During an audit discovered an error of approximately $6.0 million dollars that should have been inputted as $6,000 associated with the purchase order for a subcontractor. • Created and maintained several dozen EVMS line graphs in support of other reports.
