Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about my work and experiences. I have extensive experience in education leadership, encompassing various roles across different school districts. From July 2018 to June 2020, I served as the Superintendent at West Central Valley Community School District in Iowa. Prior to that, I held the position of Superintendent of Schools at East Union Community Schools for three years, from July 2015 to June 2018. I also served as the Superintendent of Schools at Westwood Schools in Sloan, from July 2012 to June 2014.In addition to my superintendent roles, I've gained valuable experience in other educational positions. I spent time as a classroom teacher focused on Social Studies instructor and did high school coaching at Corning Community Schools. I then transitioned to administration, taking on the role of Middle School Principal at Earlham Community Schools. During my time at Earlham from August 1999 to July 2010, I served as Middle School Principal (99-04), Curriculum Director(01-10), School to Work Coordinator (99-00), and Technology Director (02-10). I also had the opportunity to work as the Curriculum Director at Clarke Community School District from August 2014 to June 2015. In addition to my school experience I also have significant experience in professional development, as I served as a Professional Development Coach at Northwest Evaluation Association from August 2010 to July 2012 as well as a contract facilitator from 2006 - 2010.My commitment to education is evident in the academic achievements I've accomplished. In 2000, I completed my Master of Education in Education Leadership from Iowa State University, and I have 40 additional graduate credits in educational leadership beyond this masters degree. Throughout my career, I've developed a diverse skill set, including expertise in education reform, instructional technology, public speaking, staff development, educational leadership, curriculum design & development, differentiated instruction, educational research, special education, and educational consulting.
