After serving 12 years in the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer (Electrical) I have worked in various positions developing my electrical skills and qualifications. I feel over the last 17 years I have made the necessary transition in my skills from military to civilian. I have developed a wide range of new skills from being able to work as part of a team to managing and supervising small teams of people and working on my own initiative to achieve tasks effectively & efficiently in a variety of different settings & circumstances.Working within a multi-disciplinary environment providing 24/7 365 support. Deliver, develop and improve the operation and maintenance of the Data Centre plant and infrastructure continually looking to provide quality, simplification, efficiency and effectiveness. Ensuring 100% uptime of the maintenance and operation of the site critical systems such as HV/LV electrical distribution equipment, Building Management Systems (BMS), standby power equipment UPS and Generators, HVAC, Refrigeration, AHU’s, Air Con fire alarm and fire extinguishing systems.Planned maintenance and fault finding and adherence to the Natwest Group Electrical safety Rules and Procedures.
