I'm responsible for planning and executing all UK marketing activity for Sysomos, including events, media relations, content creation (blog posts, bylined articles, case studies, sales-enablement materials) and advertising. I began working with Hudson Sandler as a freelancer, but this quickly evolved into a full time role due to rapid growth. I was responsible for all digital activity (including the agency’s own website and social media channels), leading corporate communications accounts, and driving new business. · Worked on numerous new business pitches, winning seven new clients, including marquee clients, Accor, Greene King, and Octo Telematics, which helped transform the agency· Led the UK account for Accor, delivering on a strategy to build the brand’s corporate reputation with key business and trade media, and other stakeholders.· Redeveloped the agency’s website and implented an SEO strategy which more than doubled the monthly traffic to over 2k unique visitors per month and placing it on the front page of Google for a broad range of relevant search terms – this directly led to increased revenues· Implemented social media and online content plans for telecommunications specialist, TeleWare, renewable energy firm, Innasol, and electronic cigarette brand, 7stripe

At Text 100 I helped develop and deliver digital PR activity for blue-chip clients including IBM, Vodafone, BP, American Express and Standard & Poor’s amongst others. I worked across the entire portfolio, acting as an internal digital consultant for the account teams. Highlights include: · Developed and delivered a social media training programme for 200+ IBM business and technology consultants, including senior UK executives, helping them to use channels such as Twitter, LinkedIn and blogs to build better relationships with their customers· Worked with BP to develop social media strategies, and programmes to encourage internal buy in for the use of social channels, following the Deepwater Horizon disaster. This included helping the company to integrate social media elements into its crisis comms training· Organised a media outreach campaign for American Express to raise awareness of its partnership with Foursquare and educate consumers about the benefits, which resulted in broad coverage of the dealAs well as being responsible for digital activity, I served as a member of the UK leadership team, helping to steer the agency, manage staff development and lead some of the company’s own marketing initiatives. This included activity such as running internal training programmes, speaking at industry events and developing new services for the agency to bring to market. I also worked closely with international colleagues, providing social media and new business support to offices in Europe and America as required.

Immediate Future is a specialist online and social media PR agency. I joined as an account manager for Sony Electronics, with responsibility for the VAIO notebook brand and all audio products in Europe. Due to my expertise in digital, I was promoted to the role of Social Media Planner, to provide strategic consultancy planning for all clients across the portfolio, helping them to understand which channels and approaches were most appropriate for their campaigns.

I joined Prompt as a copywriter and quickly became involved in all areas of the business, working with clients such as Oracle, Yell Group and Konica Minolta. When Oracle asked us to manage its first blogger outreach programme the agency began focusing on social media and, due to my experience with online technology, I was given responsibility for managing this area of the business.My key achievement at Prompt was to develop a social media monitoring service for the agency, which won the award for Best New Product or Service at the B2B Marketing Awards 2007.

As the Technical Editor of Internet Magazine, I was responsible for overseeing all technical content in the publication, as well as managing the product reviews section. This involved researching and writing in-depth technical articles myself, whilst also commissioning and editing articles from freelance and staff writers.
