I won't call myself a jack of ALL trades, but I've done a few things over the years. Mostly gravitating toward graphic and web design since high school, I've covered a lot of ground there: logomarks, lettermarks, wordmarks, user interface and user experience design/refinement, for-print content like ads and publications (think brochures and flyers), animation, digital and traditional branding strategies, NFTs, business cards, greeting cards, attire-based screen-print color separations and screen-printing itself, traditional html and xml (including adaptive mobile site design), wordpress and figma design integration, circuitry elements, architectural blueprints, and a bevy of other little things that it would be tedious to continue listing. We can leave it at design; I make things look nice.Always been a bit of a writer. Handled a little ad copy in my day, press releases, bios, I've ghostwritten lyrics for hip-hop artists. I'll edit your book, I'll finish it if you're stuck. I write, my friend.These have been lucrative talents to have at times, but I'll be honest - alongside being the artist friend you get to photoshop your family vacation pics so the one where the kid was making a goofy face (but everybody else looked great) has him looking normal, I've also been cultivating and refining building maintenance skills in large facilities like colleges, schools, community centers, gyms, and hotels. This includes managing groups of 20-30 maintenance workers and cleaners. Not too shabby at keeping people on task or telling it like it is - I have roots in being a "behind the scenes guy" who just keeps things running smoothly. I've worked in warehouses, I've worked on construction sites, I've worked inside language barriers... Feels sorta corny to trot out such a tired phrase, but I literally have the skills to pay the bills.I'm proud to now be bringing this wheelhouse full of talents to Effertz Executive Search & Management, alongside founder and CEO, my sister, Terry Effertz. Primarily focused on government/non-profit consulting and policy advocacy, we also have professional licensing specialists on board, and offer elite branding and marketing services (if I do say so myself, uh, essentially about myself).I have a pretty simple mantra: Life is beautiful, and even when it isn't, it beats the alternative.
