Unsure of my career path after graduation, I remained in Boston to gain practical experience.My journey started at SEIU Local 254, a labor union, where I honed my administrative skills as an office assistant. This was followed by a stint in customer service at Fidelity Investments, allowing me to develop my communication and interpersonal skills.A fortunate turn of events led me to a contract position at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA). This experience became the steppingstone to my first full-time, salaried position as a healthcare analyst in their Underwriting Division. Eager to make a big splash, I dove headfirst into a division-wide IT project within a year of becoming a permanent employee.These early decisions shaped my career, a blend of entrepreneurial experience and diverse corporate roles at BCBSMA and MedeAnalytics, a healthcare SaaS company.
