I lead the Ventra Quality Registry (VQR). VQR is a CMS designated qualified registry for MIPS reporting. We support clients in Anesthesia, Pathology, Emergency Medicine, and Hospital Medicine.

Responsible for providing strategic direction and leading operations management; financial oversight of annual budget planning and management; support and partnership with Board of Directors; building and maintaining strategic alliances; and representing the PCQC to all stakeholders, including current and potential members.• Led the development of PCQC's website and social presence.• Developed a national unified clinical registry – PCQC Registry.• Led the implementation of the PCQC Association Management System.• Signed up for two dozen palliative care programs – meeting the yearly goal 90 days early.• Implemented cost-savings of 25% year over year (2020 actual vs. 2021 budget)• Hired PCQC operations staff.• Executed on the business model, creating the foundation for the sustainability of PCQC.

As the AMA Manager of Healthcare Quality, I helped identify effective care delivery elements that help support professional satisfaction and practice sustainability. In collaboration with strategic leadership, I manage AMA’s efforts to support physician practices, including efforts such as the Support and Alignment Network grant and creation of physician practice improvement capabilities that can be deployed at practice sites. • I led development on the 5-year strategic plan for the Healthcare Quality department by identifying opportunities across quality measurement, data/clinical registries, and Quality Improvement (QI). We are focusing on reducing the burden of quality reporting and increasing the value physicians place on the performance reports. We are doing this through research, convening experts, establishing guidelines, and collaborating with vendors, health systems, and payers.• As Program Director for the AMA’s TCPI efforts, I oversee all of AMA’s work in meeting our collaborative agreement with CMS. Our annual budget is $700K and includes 4.0 FTE.• I created a new education series – Share, Listen, Speak, Learn to bring ONE AMA content to wider audiences. This series brings content from across AMA to the TCPI Community in Practice and supports AMA’s efforts in driving traffic to our enterprise website, digital communities, and education center.

As the AQI Executive, I was responsible for strategic and executive leadership of the Anesthesia Quality Institute (“AQI”), a 501(c) (3) non-profit. During my time as Director of AQI, we grew the project from 4 practices to 500 practices. Our case count grew from 250K to 32M anesthesia procedures. I led our participation in CMS value-based payment systems as a PQRS and then a QCDR. I helped grow the department from 4 to 14 employees. I mentored and helped coach the employees in the department with the help of our HR Occupational Development manager. The department grew from a budget of $1M to $2.5M. We also grew revenue from $0 to $800K. Remaining budget was provided as a grant from the society.• Lead the development and implementation/adoption of the anesthesia clinical data collection platforms. The National Anesthesia Clinical Outcomes Registry (NACOR) is the primary registry of AQI. AQI maintains multiple additional incident reporting registries.• Lead the deployment of technical and business resources to achieve objects of AQI Board of Directors. Provide recommendations on resources – staffing, budgeting, and professional development• Ensure high quality of data through quality control techniques. Oversee and provide guidance on general policies, standard operating procedures and quality assurance processes for data abstraction, data analysis, data submission and data reporting• Responsible for AQI IT and vendor management and operations team.• Provides leadership, administrative and management support, strategic planning and overall direction of the Quality Improvement and Quality Management program• Act as Privacy Officer for the AQI PSO.
