First full-time tenure-track business faculty initially hired to help start the Business Administration Department. In addition to typical teaching, research, and service responsibilities, opportunities have included extensive hiring; work toward proposing, creating, and implementing a MBA program; and otherwise helping to grow the department and school.

Responsible for Digital Television (DTV) Marketing within Intel’s Broadcast Products Division, Home Products Group. Objectives included ensuring that DTV industry will grow in a “PC friendly” manner, publicly demonstrating the benefits of DTV on a PC, and helping third parties produce DTV applications for the PC.

Started as a contractor, then as New Product Development Manager before being promoted to Director.• As department head was responsible for justifying, obtaining, and managing multimillion dollar budget for DTV Product Planning & Strategy department. Managed Product Manager and contract employees.• Participated in overall product strategy, research and development requirements, analysis of market research, and financial justification for DTV and derivative products.• Collaborated with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.• Defined, commissioned, and analyzed market research that confirmed the target segment, their key characteristics, and tested the desirability for specific new products and services among specific target segments.• Created and led user interface team to develop a consumer oriented, graphical user interface.
