Designed, developed and documented DSP firmware for baseband processors across multiple cellular telephone standards. Workclosely with hardware engineers to partition algorithms betweenHW/SW and to optimize cost, performance, power consumption, processing capability, memory usage, die size, etc.Worked closely with customers to solve problems related to obtaining certification and readying the end products for production. Debugged a wide range of system-level problems spanning the disciplines of RF hardware, analog hardware, digital hardware, DSP assembly language firmware, and C language software.Designed, developed, simulated, implemented, and tested numerous physical layer algorithms, including optimal demodulation of signals received over fading, multipath channels, spread-spectrum techniques, channel estimation,signal acquisition, AGC, AFC, timing and power control. Worked within the constraints of customer requirements and published standards. Debugged problems in the lab and field.
