Lance Ratze is the creative force behind Yola’s Café, which he opened in 2009 when other coffee shops were closing. His entrepreneurial spirit and leadership guided him to form Yola’s even though his only experience in the food industry was a stint as a barista at Starbuck’s. At Yola’s, Lance uses the people skills he forged during 14 years as a minister; he has a BA in Pastoral Studies from North Central University. His experience in community outreach, customer service, and conflict resolution are critical components of his success. His business development skills have allowed Yola’s Café – a family business named after his late grandmother – to become a fixture in the local community in a short period of time. His knowledge of what customers want in a specialty coffee shop allowed him to make the best choices: All the food at Yola’s is made from fresh ingredients and only the best coffee is used to make a wide variety of hot and cold drinks.With extensive experience in managing people and budgets, Lance runs Yola’s with a staff of six and a strong network of vendors and contacts. Lance reaches into the heart of the community with art displays; community events such as knitting, game nights, and Dogs Day Out; and strong business networking. Lance's passion for specialty coffee, people, and business development has continually grown with Yola's Cafe.

Madison Originals was founded and created to support independent restaurants in our great city of Madison and its surrounding communities. For over a decade, we have been building a tightly-knit family of brilliant restaurant owners and affiliated local business who strongly believe in our cause. Together, our main goal is deliver amazing dining experiences to locals and visitors to Madison.

I help with the operations of the non-profit ministry, Give Hope 2 Kids, which is located in Urraco, Honduras. My involvement is in fundraising and raising awareness for the needs of the ministry.

My wife and I serve as Family Life Pastors for Metro Believer's Church - www.metrobelieverschurch.com. Our primary responsibility is to minister to children and their families within the church by identifying their needs, educating and spiritually guiding them. We oversee the Kid's Church classes on Sunday mornings, organize events and plan programs that specifically cater to children and families.

Social Media Breakfast Madison is part of a national organization started in 2007 and located in over 40 cities across the USA. In Madison we focus on education, caffeine and networking at morning meetings that are sponsored by area businesses. We have a speaker or panel each month. We meet the 3rd Wednesday of each month and have a LinkedIn Group, a Facebook page, and on Twitter @smbmad
