That decision affecting me, I then decided to move closer to home, which had lower cost of living, while I seek my next opportunity.]

--Performed reliability analyses for heavy duty gas turbine combustion subsystems.--Pioneered new risk prediction methodology for gas turbine fleets with limited experience.--Spearheaded unplanned outage model validation effort.--Six Sigma Green Belt certified.--Provided process improvement by reducing data estimation time from 2 weeks to 2 hours.--Gave over 50 technical presentations within the company and was an invited lecturer presenting "Reliability Engineering: The Flip Side of Failure Analysis" to local ASM chapter.--Coordinated efforts among cross-functional team members to complete numerous projects.--Worked with internal customers to provide minimum $40 million savings by demonstrating reliability though unused contract options.--Served as group ISO representative, coordinating creation/revision of reliability design practices and authoring/co-authoring 6 design practices.

--Completed 21 individual failure analyses, including a cast iron compressor assembly, a wire mesh hose assembly, bolts from chemical mixer impeller, a wind turbine gearbox failure, paper mill cast iron drums/cans, and an ethernet electrical contact corrosion investigation.--Published article "Metallurgical Failure Analysis of Bolts in an Impeller Assembly" in the Journal of Failure Analysis and Prevention (Aug 2006).--Executed qualification evaluations for gas turbine buckets and aircraft engine blades, including EDM recast layer measurements, dot peening marking depth, recrystallized grains, and diffuser hole measurements.--Performed numerous metallurgical/mechanical evaluations, including welds, brazes, porosity, stress corrosion cracking, grain size, inclusion count, surface roughness, coating thickness, field metallography replicas, smooth/notched tensile testing, fracture toughness testing, 3-point bend testing, microindentation hardness testing, and SEM characterizations.--Transferred to satellite office where I cleared 3 months worth of backlogged jobs in 2 weeks.--Authored over 300 technical reports as well as several test procedures.

--Prepared and implemented lessons plans for mathematics and physics courses.--Innovated over previous plans based on classroom performance and effectiveness in helping students to retain material.--Refined personal methods of time management to increase personal efficiency and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
