-Provide land planning, design, graphics and environmental consulting services for public agencies, builders and developers in Southern California (Orange, San Diego, Riverside, Los Angeles Counties)-Manage the preparation and processing of numerous Specific Plans, General Plan Amendments, Zoning documents, Design Guidelines, and other entitlement materials-Serve as the lead staff member for all the Planning Division’s master planned development projects-Manage technical consultants and synthesize findings into CEQA compliant documents, including Initial Studies, Environmental Impact Reports, and Mitigated Negative Declarations-Coordinate teams of architects, engineers, and landscape architects to provide high-quality land use designs that enhance community character and property value-Coordinate with jurisdictions and various public agencies during design review and entitlement process-Prepare and manage scope of works, contracts, change of orders, budgets, and project schedules.

-Assist in the preparation of over a dozen projects approved by City Council/Board of Supervisors-Assist in the preparation of planning documents such as Specific Plans, General Plan Amendments, Substantial Conformances,Zoning Ordinances for master planning and urban development projects-Prepare and review environmental documents in accordance with CEQA such as EIRs, MNDs, andAddendums-Review and revise technical reports: Air Quality/GHG, Traffic, Noise, and Biology reports-Prepare and submit dozens of entitlement application plans, maps, and materials for master planned communities, urban developments, and industrial/logistic centers

-Research and prepare planning documents such as Specific Plans and Zoning Ordinances-Research and prepare text for environmental documents in accordance with CEQA such as EIRs, MNDs, and Addendums-Review technical reports in visual quality, community character, land use compatibility, mineral resources, and agriculture-Prepare entitlement application packages and submittal requirements-Prepare project schedules and charts using Microsoft Project-Assemble documents for printing and publication in hard copy format and electronic format-Conduct coordination by telephone and email with public agencies, project team members, and clients-Assist with general office duties including phone, fax, filing, copying, mailing, and deliveries

- Collaborate with the Sustainability Department and Active Transportation department at SCAG to update its Green Region Initiatives (GRI) Map on the SCAG website- Research and analyze all 191 cities in the SCAG region in regards to sustainability practices such as (water, energy, and active transportation)- Assess and interpret each jurisdiction regarding their Bicycle Plans, Pedestrian Plans, First Mile/Last Mile strategies, and Complete Streets policies- Prepare and present project data and information to several city officials and stakeholders through written reports and oral presentations- Analyze and summarize General Plans, Specific Plans, EIRs, MNDs, Initial Studies, and other environment documents- Provide stimulating ideas during meetings and workshops throughout SCAG- Create new and innovative ways for agencies and jurisdictions to apply sustainability practices by providing them with updated data- Built new methods of research for SCAG's sustainability research- Write reports and summaries of data collected to be seen by all 191 cities and the public- Strengthened SCAG's research database regarding Complete Streets and First Mile/Last Mile Strategies
