Healthcare Worker - Covid Frontline SupportHealth Promotion Board Jul 2020 - Apr 2021In 2020, Covid hit and I was one of those affected, most of my businesses stopped, business clients dried up and Noble Vici Group was at risk of closure. Financial issues was amongst the reasons for me to rebuilt myself. Meanwhile, I took my former national service training as a medic, being first aid & AED certified, to good use and helped with the Covid Response Team of Ministry of Health, Singapore.● Covid Support Role- Supported Health Promotion Board as part of the team that dealt with swabbing people.- My main role involved scanning the IDs of people send to us to check their covid infection status before they can be send back to their workplace, this involves tallying against a database, ensuring that everyone on the list is checked and their status is updated on the list.- This also involved checking that each test-tube containing samples are correctly labelled, tallies with the database and onsite documents before they are packed and send to the correct lab for testing. ● Site Supervisor Support- Due to lack of manpower, I doubled as a one-site floor manager as well, ensuring that everyone goes to their correct station and other on-site duties to aid the supervisor of each site.- In fact, I was typically send to sites where they send new supervisor trainees to as I was noted to be very good at my work and it is safe to send the new trainees with me for their first real assignment as I can help the heavy lifting.I eventually left being declined a Supervisor role due a lack of actual education qualifications and instead applied to study at Lithan Academy to get certified officially in Digital Marketing. -
