Lance Toler is a Managing Director and investment committee member at Gallatin Point Capital, a private investment firm focused on financial institutions, services, and assets with $5.0 billion of assets under management. He has been involved in Gallatin Point's investments in Honey Insurance, Knighthead Annuity & Life Assurance Company, CrossCover Insurance Services, Sunraycer Holdings, James River Group Holdings, First Investors Financial Services, Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, Varo Bank, Grenet Partners, College Avenue Student Loans, and Canopius Group.Prior to joining Gallatin Point, Mr. Toler was a Principal at Apollo Global Management and an Associate at Blackstone. Prior to Blackstone, Mr. Toler was a founding member of the asset management team of the U.S. Treasury Department's Capital Purchase Program of the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). Mr. Toler started his career in the Financial Institutions Group and Public Sector & Infrastructure Group in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs.He earned an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a George F. Baker Scholar, and a BA in Economics, magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University. He is a board member of Knighthead Holdings Ltd. and CrossCover Insurance Services and a board observer of Honey Insurance, Varo Bank, and Canopius Group.
