Lance is a passionate technology entrepreneur, advisor and mentor at local universities including UC Irvine, and Chapman. Ware is very hands on and is not afraid to dig-in deeply to any problem and work in the trenches with everyone from executives and employees, to customers, board members, and investors. Lance's current focus is on bridging the digital divide and bringing internet to everyone, especially those who have been lacking in reasonable connectivity for the last 10 years or more. He's currently involved in projects across the US, including California, Hawaii, West Virginia and Puerto Rico.Previously Ware has been involved in numerous mobile technology companies primarily focused on markets outside the US, including Europe, the Caribbean, as well as South and Central America. Prior to that Lance was Chief Technology Officer for Technicolor's Digital Distribution Group. As CTO, Ware was responsible for Technicolor's digital supply chain platform, overseeing their global production network, assisting in the oversight of Technicolor's global research and innovation priorities, and finally being responsible for their global security function, including both network and physical infrastructure.Ware was the founder and CEO of SyncCast, a leading digital media fulfillment company specializing in encoding and transcoding, digital rights management, delivery and distribution, as well as content management services. The technologies and services developed under Ware's tutelage power solutions for such distinguished companies as Microsoft, Billboard, Warner Music Group, The Motion Picture Association of America, Lionsgate Entertainment, NBC Universal, EMI Music Group, DirecTV and many others. SyncCast was responsible for the first streaming delivery of National Football League (NFL) streams in partnership with DirecTV, as well as the launch of Microsoft's Xbox Video Marketplace for HD video services 4 months before Netflix launched their own streaming product.He began with a position at venture funded Voxel as a Director of Technology. Subsequent to Voxel, Ware founded WareNet, Inc., a software and infrastructure company specializing internet services such as e-commerce, connectivity and live streaming services. Ware holds several patents in online video delivery, video session management, as well as physical media and streaming authentication.
