Manager responsible for the school's budgetry control and personnel issues. In June 2012 this was reviewed and I am now concentrating on finance as Finance Manager, since the school's conversion to Academy status on 01/09/2012. Due to changes in the school's academy sponsor and significant changes proposed to my role, I chose to take voluntary redundancy in June 2017

I am currently working in the above role at E.ON in Nottingham, where my role is the Recruitment of Home Energy Consultants, In-Store Energy Consultants, Business Energy Consultants, Insulation Home Energy Consultants and Team Managers in a large nationwide recruitment drive. My role is reviewing the CVs, carrying out competency based telephone interviews (interview number 2000 fast approaching!) and working through the appointments, plus all the administration work to support this activity.

This was a temporary position where I was responsible for the day to day control of crews and vehicles on the PTS services – the Patient Transfer Service. This required the management of all vehicles within the Nottinghamshire Area Health Authority, The role required good ability to think quickly, as delays caused problems with hospital appointments and collection of patients from many locations. The role also required the ability to direct Ambulance Offices based in the local hospitals in directing their work.

Since May 2006, I have been busy going temporary work from various agencies and I am currently employed through an agency until April 2007 at Ofsted, Nottingham. I am a Reports Administrator carrying quality assurance work on school reports prior to publication on the internet. This requires checking all school reports for accuracy of information, political correctness and layout of the document. It also requires checking the accuracy of published reports on the internet.

Brought in to set up an outbound telesales team to sell building chemicals. I have facilitated the inauguration of systems and procedures for the operation of the team. I have also been responsible for the purchasing of a C.R.M. system and its implementation, along with company wide I.T. system changes and implementation. I have also recruited and selected the telesales agents and provided the necessary training. The project failed due to a lack of take up from the building trade.

This role within the Nottinghamshire County Council was a face-to-face sales role selling the provision of furnishings to clients both internal and external to the authority. Two thirds of the business was the supply and installation of contract floor coverings, the remainder of the business split equally between the provision of curtains or window blinds. I was responsible for assessing customer needs in terms of products and labour services in the provision of new floor coverings, dealing with customers at all levels. I did site surveys to ascertain information and discuss specific requirements with customers. I managed the provision of estimates, ordering of products and services and final billing. I negotiated with suppliers and contractors and formulated the necessary contracts (EEC guided) and quotes to provide the £1.2 million p.a. turnover of the team. I negotiated a satisfactory conclusion, when correcting issues arising from work carried out. I maintained files and records of all work carried out, including the provision of supervision to clerks assisting in this task. I was also responsible for reviewing, monitoring and providing training for both for myself and others under my supervision. In my 12 years service, I carried out work totalling £300,000 – £500,000 p.a., which required the management of between 120 – 150 projects each year. I was made redundant in April 2002

I was responsible for the payment of all accounts in relation to the Division, both its own running costs and payments of accounts for the products purchased for warehousing. I did the invoicing of accounts to customers for the issue of stored goods in instances where the customer was external to the Division – e.g. a charity. I also monitored the collection of such accounts. I liaised with the County Treasurer’s Department to ensure compliance with the code of conduct for the management of accounts. I also developed the systems and procedures we were to follow as the previous documentation had been lost prior to my starting in this post.

I was responsible for the direct provision of electrical goods, light fittings and science equipment. Also, the ordering and monitoring of deliveries of stored products – mainly sports equipment. I carried out spot purchasing of products and formulated contracts for the provision of products or services. To utilise my computer skills, I was seconded to build a database used until recently for the provision of fuel to County Council establishments.

I was responsible for managing the stock for several branches, completed and monitored all financial documents, and was awarded by Kemble-Yamaha for the most units sold in the U.K. from one outlet over the Christmas 1985 period. I became full time after a promotion from being a successful Saturday Sales Assistant since 1980.
