My responsibilities included complete project planning for wind outbound sites including air, ocean, rail and trucking of legal and over dimensional freight.

Manage Truckload Contracts and contract addendums for Full Truckload and Less than Truckload Carriers for North America. Responsible for sourcing and negotiating rates for contract lanes for all equipment types including: Less than Truckload, Expedited, Flatbed, Single Drop, Double Drop, Dry Van and Specialized Equipment including Super load Cargo. Managing the Carrier Failure Process including the Root Cause Analysis of all failures. Source for the least cost solution for air, ocean, rail, Storage and truckload shipments (including border crossing and Port Freight) for North American and International shipments for the GE Logistics Execution Center including providing support for international poles. Maintain Databases for the Logistics Execution Center including the Carrier Contact Database, Carrier Failure Database, and Energy Rates Guide Database. Support for the GE Senior Logistics Commodity Leader including compiling and analyzing data on contracted lanes, cost savings, Carrier Scorecards, etc. Responsible for maintaining quarterly Carrier Scorecards that measure carriers Billing Data, Claims Data, Carrier Failures, EHS incidents, Safer Ratings, Safe Stat Ratings, Comparative analysis. Manage the Carrier approval process for the GE Brokering Policy of Over-Dimensional Freight and Super load Shipments. Support for the Routing Teams, Sourcing Specialists, Dispatch, and Customs Compliance teams with all issues pertaining to Truckload Freight or Carrier Compliance. Provide Rate analysis for Overseas Logistics Execution Centers to decide the routing of all inbound freight.

DispatchDispatched Company drivers and owner operators for inbound and outbound freight using QUALCOMM. Scheduled inbound and outbound loads with customers, brokers, and freight companies. Acquired and booked backhauls for all loads including negotiating freight rates and fuel surcharges. Issued com checks for lumper fees, tolls, and etc. Processed driver paperwork for payroll department. Updated company spreadsheets as needed using Microsoft programs. Communicated with drivers regarding safety, log and DOT violations

Managed company fleet of drivers with responsibilities including but not limited to the following: routing, dispatching, DOT regulations compliance and maintenance of over $2.5 million of company equipment of tractors and trailers. Responsible for processing all drivers paperwork including Company Bills of lading, Alternate Bills of Lading, Customs documentation, Pre Trip Reports, and all LTL and motor freight documentation. Maintained daily reports and spreadsheets for Executive committee using Excel. Responsible for overseeing daily Shipping functions totaling over 250 million monthly. Cross-trained in Production Scheduling for primary back up of Production Manager. Supervised daily shipping functions, including loading of company trucks, LTL Carriers and Truck Load carriers. Member of new software implementation team.
