Jaren Barnes is the Founder and CEO of the Land Maverick Society, an online community dedicated to empowering individuals in the land investing industry. Under Jaren’s leadership, the society has empowered dozens of people with the guidance, support, strategies and funding needed to thrive as land investors. Jaren Barnes got his start in real estate by door-knocking pre-foreclosures in the San Francisco Bay Area, followed by a brief stint with the team at the esteemed BiggerPockets.com. From there, Jaren was hired by Brett Snodgrass of Simple Wholesaling, where, as the Senior Dispositions Manager, he was responsible for selling on average 25-35 houses per month. After Simple Wholesaling, Jaren went into flipping vacant land full time and started iBuyLand, a high-six figure land company that’s still in full-scale operation today. Beyond this, Jaren was privileged to work for Seth Williams of REtipster.com, one of the land industry's premier online communities. The extensive experience and brand exposure Jaren gained during his 3+ year tenure with REtipster further solidified his reputation as a land industry thought-leader, educator and innovator. Jaren currently househacks a triplex in an Indiana-based suburb of Chicago, IL, alongside his lovely Kazakh-American wife, Assiya, their two boys and his epic Kazakh in-laws.

At Simple Wholesaling, in addition to being the Brand Developer, I also was the head of their Dispositions Team. In this role, I was the main point of contact for all the buyer relationships interested in our real estate inventory. During my time there, I helped build the company from selling an average of 8 - 12 properties per month, to selling an average of 25-30 per month by the time I left in early 2018.

For about 5 months I was the main point of contact for the blog contributors, the scheduling of the podcast guests, a forum moderator, a blogger and pretty much anything else they needed me to do.
