At MMID, we focus on integrated product development with a focus around the user. My work revolves around the functional system of a product, centering in on what it takes to make a product work in an elegant, intrinsically usable way. This includes creating robust functional requirements, calculations, FEA, testing and validation, conceptual ideation, and creative problem solving.In addition to my main role as a designer, I am what we call a Content Owner (Project Lead), who manages the team working on the technical content of the projects, manages day-to-day tasks, and maintains/build client relations.

Delft Area, Netherlands

Relocated to the Netherlands for a year to understand the practices and company culture in order to eventually come back to the states to help MMID's entry and growth into the United States.I started in the Netherlands as a designer with focus on manufacturability, which included designing parts for manufacturing and assembly, utilizing available manufacturing methods and relevant design rules, making detailed CAD (both 2D & 3D), and managing communication with suppliers.

Cambridge, Ma

Designed and implemented lab equipment for engineering classes, created new reference material for students, performed machine maintenance, and aided graduate, undergraduate, and visiting students who were working on projects in the lab. Completed as summer internship.

Auburn, Wa

Performed and aided in many tasks regarding the physical calibration and documentation of a wide variety of gauges across multiple facility locations. Observed, performed, and helped document standards of processes for calibration. Also aided in dimensional, tactile, and visual inspection of manufactured aerospace parts from drawings. The job necessitated daily communication with workers with a wide variety of jobs and skill sets within and outside the company. Completed as summer internship.

Medford, Ok

Encompassed anything that was needed to help maintain the family farm--everything from moving cattle on horseback to maintaining heavy machinery, often working with a tight time frame, limited on-hand resources, and occasionally long hours in harsh conditions. I have helped out in any way I could since I was physically old enough, and as I grew, my responsibilities grew with me.Attached is a picture of one of the heavy pieces of machinery I worked on--my father picked up the business of Portable Seed Cleaning to add value to the crops of local farmers. We integrated, designed, and built many components to build this machine together.
