As Director, I oversee the maintenance, implementation, staffing management and budgeting of landscaping and facilities of Woldenberg Riverfront Park, a 14 acre public park space and design, maintain, and implement the botanical exhibits of the Audubon Aquarium and the Audubon Insectarium. This space includes a tropical free flight aviary Amazonian rainforest exhibit, a local Mississippi River gallery, a year round free flight butterfly garden, and all horticulture elements of exhibits.On top of my responsibilities in the horticulture sector, I manage all park maintenance items, coordinate development efforts, assist in event preparation and implementation, and manage all park waste streams. My department leads the effort in sustainable practices as well as bringing new conservation efforts to the facilities.Under direction of the Vice President, act as a second in command for the operation and functionality of all 3 facilities. Collaborate with partners across facilities, outside companies, community groups, and with other departments to accomplish large scale goals.

Provide an integrated pest management plan that allowed for optimal guest and public experiences on greenhouses that were used for show and amusement park attractions at Epcot’s Living with The Land. Raised and rear beneficial insects for release in the horticultural ecosystem, as well as apply pesticide as needed. Perform the Behind the Seeds guided walking tour to educate the general public on horticulture and hydroponics.
