He speaks to students, coaches and businesses across the country on, “How leaders can create work environments were people will love coming to work”.Salandro discovered his love for technology while teaching and working on his Master’s Degree at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. During his research he discovered that people only remember a mere 3% the next day when taught using lecture methods and a surprising 70% when taught using video, pictures or other visuals. This research changed how Salandro began training employees and students throughout his career. Compelled to make a difference in an educational environment whereusing videotape was a major obstacle, Jerry dedicated himself to making video easier to use foreveryone.A pioneer in using software and technology to make training easy for educators, Salandro wasresponsible for the largest training effort ever in Pennsylvania’s history. In1980, Salandro also designed a franchise concept for the one-hour photo industry. In 1982, hedeveloped the world’s first equipment to transfer photos, slides and home movies to videotape...and later to digital media format.
