Dr. Kim Landry is board-certified in both emergency medicine and the subspecialty of EMS. He received his medical degree from the University of Florida and did his residency training in emergency medicine at LSU-Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He has over 25 years of experience working in emergency departments and over 20 years of experience working as an EMS medical director for multiple EMS and Fire/Rescue agencies. He was very instrumental in helping several of these EMS organizations receive the prestigious CAAS accreditation. His involvement in the air medical industry spans several decades from his days as a flight nurse/paramedic on board a helicopter to being a medical director and a flight physician for an international air ambulance service. Dr. Landry is an associate professor of clinical medicine at the FSU College of Medicine, Pensacola campus. He is president and CEO of Excalibur Telemedical Services, Inc. This is an office-based group of emergency physicians that will offer telemedical services to a variety of industries. He was selected to serve on the Governor's Telehealth Advisory Council by the Florida Surgeon General in 2016. In 2011, he received the honor of being named the “EMS Medical Director of the Year” for the state of Florida by the Department of Health, Bureau of EMS. He is a fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians as well as the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. Among the organizations Dr. Landry is active in are the: National Association of EMS Physicians, Air Medical Physicians Association, Florida Association of EMS Medical Directors, Florida College of Emergency Physicians, FMA, and American Telemedical Association. He serves on the EMS advisory council at Pensacola State College and is vice-chair of District One EMS Council in the Florida panhandle. He invented and patented the Landry Vein Light, currently marketed as the Venoscope, a transilluminating instrument for locating veins.
