Rory L. Synstelien is licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in Minnesota. He holds an Associates Degree in Surveying from Dunwoody Institute and a Bachelors degree from St Cloud State University in Geography with a Minor in GIS. He is also a Certified Federal Surveyor. He has been involved since 1997 in surveying projects including platting, boundary, design and construction. Rory has been associated with projects that include the St. Cloud Regional Airport, Hazeltine National Golf Club, Allianz Field, and North Memorial Healthcare facility in Maple Grove. Rory is the Director of Land Surveying at Civil Site Group. He has also worked at Dunwoody Institute as an adjunct professor in the Surveying department; he instructed classes on Construction Staking and Survey Equipment. Rory is an active member of the Minnesota Society of Professional Land Surveyors and the Minnesota Construction association.Rory has spent the years updating his 1940's cottage style bungalow in the Lake Minnetonka area where he lives with his wife Naomi, and his sons Jack and Bodhi. To the amazement of friends and neighbors he personally suspended the first floor of his home and put in a new modern basement while maintaining the integrity of the aging home. He is an active member of his community and regularly attends city planning meetings to speaking out on issues that affect his neighborhood. Rory keeps busy in the winter by riding his snowmobile on local trails and extreme snowboarding in Summit County, Colorado, with his Father .
