Founded in 2005 and privately-held, DDH has over 400 employees, is a 5-time Inc. 5000 Honoree, a Google premier ad partner and Microsoft advertising channel partner award winner.An accomplished corporate and business law attorney, Lane has decades of in-house experience, including as general counsel and corporate secretary for Savvis (now CenturyLink/Lumen), a publicly-held data networking company with worldwide operations, and Voxiva (now Welltok), a VC-backed global provider of mobile healthcare solutions. In private practice, Lane was an early adopter of alternative approaches to the conventional legal services model, both as a partner and founder at virtual law firms.A tested leader and trusted advisor to C-level executives and boards of directors, Lane has a strong track record of producing practical solutions, while demonstrating strategic vision, integrity and sound judgment. During his career, Lane has led the acquisition and sale of numerous businesses, secured multi-million dollar venture financings and private equity investments, negotiated complex commercial agreements, technology licenses, and strategic partnerships, resolved “bet-the-company” litigation, implemented governance, privacy, cybersecurity and employee policies, and counseled public and private boards of directors. Lane holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, an M.A. in International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a B.A. magna cum laude from Cornell University. He has taught at Georgetown University Law Center, published articles in leading journals and spoken at conferences worldwide.Active in the Washington, DC community, Lane serves on the board of the Washington Area Bicycle Association. He has previously served on Johns Hopkins' alumni advisory council, as alumni board president for Georgetown Day School, where he is a recipient of the school’s distinguished alumni award, and as a fundraiser for Children’s National and the Lab School of Washington. An outdoor wilderness enthusiast, Lane has completed the National Outdoor Leadership School’s Outdoor Educator program, been certified as a Wilderness First Responder and Leave No Trace master educator, and was an Assistant Scout Master for BSA Troop 61.
