  As a Member of Eastman & Smith Ltd.’s Business Section, Mr. Williamson’s practice includes real estate, estate planning and business related matters. Mr. Williamson regularly advises individual and business clients regarding the estate planning consequences of their business activities and real estate holdings. He also often functions in the role of an advisor to those clients to help them identify legal issues and to obtain more specialized advice from other attorneys within the Firm. In addition, Mr. Williamson participates in the Firm’s Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Group, which provides a full range of estate planning, business, tax, probate and trust administration services to the Firm’s clients. Examples of the wide variety of matters Mr. Williamson has successfully handled include: •Forming and maintaining business entities for business and estate planning purposes such as limited liability companies and family limited partnerships.•Serving as both trustee and counsel for fiduciaries with respect to revocable, irrevocable, and special needs trusts.•Representing the interests of estate and trust beneficiaries in dealing with fiduciaries including corporate trustees. •Obtaining a decision from the Ohio Supreme Court granting a protest before a local board of elections that assisted with the development of a multi-million dollar power plant.•Assisting with the assembly, annexation, rezoning and development of approximately 1,000 acres of real estate for commercial and retail development.•Obtaining road vacations and closures, assisting with the acquisition of permits and entitlements and successfully negotiating water and sewer agreements for a new intermodal railroad terminal in Wood County, Ohio.•Obtaining grade crossing closures and right-of-way vacations, assisting with land assembly and permits, and negotiation of inter-governmental agreements for improvements to an existing intermodal rail facility in Toledo, Ohio.
