How do you make sure your viewers connect with your story? You get them to care. Sometimes that's through emotions, both positive and negative. Other times may call for humor or a jolt of nostalgia. Regardless of the avenue you choose: reach your audience, get them to care, and make a difference in the world one person at a time. That's the message I teach reporters and try to follow myself. Reach out any time, even if it's simply for advice on your work.
