My role at Cengage Learning as an SQA Engineer in the Education in Technology field has allowed me to expand upon my experience as a Team Lead. I was also able to further my business analyst experience with testing methods like Crowd Testing, managing and triaging backlogs of defects and being involved in the planning of features and requirements from the beginning of development as well as involvement throughout the entire lifecycle. I was the team lead for multiple projects, one from the ground up, structuring its QA Tests suites and managing its offshore resources.

I was initially hired as an entry level SQA Engineer for software within the Catastrophe Modeling industry. During my career I was able to work on a variety of complex software projects including Database tools, which is where I was able to expand my experience with SQL. I’ve played to role as Team Lead, Data Analyst and Business Analyst as well. I was promoted to SQA Engineer III during my time here. My Duties included created complex test plans and matrices, building complex sql scripts to be included in automation suites, managing offshore teams, mentoring onshore team members and triaging defects within our bug tracking system. I obtained certifications as CSM (Certified Scrum Master) and CCM (Certified Catastrophe Modeler)

I started as an intern SQA for wireless applications within Financial Services , and was able to secure a part time position while returning back to school full time. I was introduced to SQA with this position. My roles included creating test plans, filing and tracking defects using DevTrack bug tracking tool. My ability to learn features quickly allowed me to train other coworkers
