She was a member of the American Advertising Federation—Jackson Chapter from 2007 to 2014, was elected to the board of directors in 2013 and served as treasurer in 2014. Served on the Mississippi Credit Union Association’s Statewide Ad Committee 2009-2014, won a 2006 Marketing Association of Credit Unions (MAC) Bronze Award for her quarterly membership newsletter, served on the Board of Directors of the Jackson Chapter of Credit Unions from 1997-2000, and served on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Consumer Credit Association from 1998-2002. She is a 1995 graduate of Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing School. Lanet has two adult children and one delightful grandchild who calls her “Dee.”
