Lutheran Family and Children’s Services of Missouri (LFCS) is a not-for-profit social services organization serving the State of Missouri. The organization has been in existence since 1868, when it was founded as a residence for children left homeless after the Civil War. LFCS has made progressive program changes over its 150-year history in to meet the shifting needs of children and families in Missouri. Over the past 30 years, LFCS has extended its physical presence from the St. Louis area across the state, expanding services into Cape Girardeau, Columbia, Springfield, Franklin County and Joplin. For nearly fifteen years, Saint Louis PARTNERS ( Permanency: Achieving Results Through Networking, Education, Resources and Services) has been investing in the strength and stability of family through compassionate, comprehensive foster care and adoptive services. Saint Louis PARTNERS unites a partnership of four strong agencies including Bringing Families Together, Good Shepherd, Lutheran Family & Children's Services and Our Little Haven. Collectively, we are driven by a passion to advocate for all children in need of foster care. From placing siblings together, to understanding the important urgency for children with specific needs, our combined histories bring stability and compassion to the intricacies of foster care for families in St. Louis County, St. Louis City, St. Charles County, Jefferson County and Franklin County.

St. Louis

As the Director of Home and Community Based Services for Great Circle, I provided dynamic, passionate and forward-thinking leadership to 10 community and school based programs serving children and families in the greater St Louis area. As a detailed-oriented manager overseeing more than five million in programming funds, I had a proven record of maintaining and expanding diversified funding streams. Using clear and effective communication, my goal as a leader was to embrace the mission of Great Circle through a proven record of program improvement, new program implementation and bringing teams together to provide the best quality services to the community.

Urbana-Champaign, Illinois Area

•Utilize strong relationship building skills to provide one-on-one coaching/mentoring to public and private direct services supervisor •Provide group training with a focus on improving practice and outcomes in child welfare•Develop state-wide tracking system used to monitor program roll out throughout the state•Assist with development of tools used in individual and group supervision•Document and create outcome plans for each agency utilizing the STEP program

Urbana-Champaign, Illinois Area

•Ensure compliance of Healthy Families program guidelines for provision of prevention home visiting services to at-risk expectant and parenting mothers•Ensure program compliance with DHS outcome requirements through quarterly outcome reports, monthly case audits, and data entry audits•Provide weekly intensive clinical supervision to four full-time employees providing home visitation to 15 to 25 families each•Engage in community outreach to develop new community partners and increased overall number of referrals to program during last year•Develop monthly and quarterly in-service training for program and agency staff •Partner in grant writing for Healthy Families, Healthy Young Families and Prevention Initiative programs

Urbana-Champaign, Illinois Area

•Directed and oversaw 40+ volunteers to meet CASA mandates •Provided support, technical direction and guidance as needed including case selection, writing court reports, conflict resolution and how to navigate the public child welfare system•Developed and implemented on-going in-service training for advocates•Engaged in volunteer recruitment efforts including production of CASA newsletter, annual fundraising events and screening new applicants•Assisted with grant writing for CASA

Fulton, Missouri And Columbia, Missouri

•Implemented, directed and oversaw the Adoption Program, Missouri Adoption Subsidy program, and foster care program for 26 counties. Duties include but not limited to development of regional policy, program oversight, technical assistance, regional and national child recruitment efforts and quality improvement•Training development for Children’s Division staff, private contractors and resource families •Provided assistance to assigned circuits to achieve agency goal of Accreditation through Council on Accreditation

Jefferson City, Missouri

•Developed and implemented statewide programs and policies for Missouri’s Adoption and Adoption Subsidy programs, as directed by the unit manager•Facilitated and coordinated efforts to implement state wide recruitment efforts including Wendy’s Place to call Home, AdoptUSKids website and state advisory adoption board•Provided technical assistance to all county offices•Responded to constituent concerns regarding policy and practice.•Completed fiscal notes and bill reviews for the Department of Social Services and Missouri General Assembly•Directed or implemented state initiatives including Adoption Opportunities Grant, One Church - One Child, Faith Based Conference, Permanency Conference and state-wide resource development contracts
