An international lifestyle is part of who I am and I bring my multinational business background to the table. I helped another international company grow from selling its first pair of hiking boots in the US to become a leader in the European made, outdoor footwear category. Knowing quality, traveling to Europe and appreciating excellent Italian products, I saw the opportunity to use my established skills of wearing many hats and became an entrepreneur. After several years of working for this superior company, I founded Ortensiablu.com, an online shop selling excellent imported extra virgin olive oil, hand painted ceramics and finely crafted table linens from Italy. My buying trips and travels to Italy sparked even more excitement. I loved finding off the beaten path villages, vineyards and family owned restaurants. My friends and colleagues introduced me to their regional secrets and my love affair grew even more. I understood that what I found enchanting about these distinctive places should be shared with others. With attention to each specific detail, I developed Ortensia Blu Italian Adventures to introduce clients to these gorgeous parts of Italy. With our small groups, I will take you by the hand to experience the magnificent Prosecco region of Northern Italy and the captivating island Sicily in Fall 2021.With my years of travel to Italy, I was always the go to for friends and family (and friends of friends and family) for where to go and what to do in Italy. Realizing that I could share this with others, I became an independent travel consultant, specializing in Italy.
