As an Academic Fellow I have facilitated lecture by monitoring chat and answering student questions as they come up regarding the material of the day. Assisted the Instructors through grading student's material. Providing additional 1:1 as well technical mock interviews with the students to keep up to date on their progress and prepare them for when they have completed the bootcamp. Counseled the students when imposter syndrome affects them that they are not alone and offered encouragement to them that they do in fact belong at Tech Elevator. Organized a weekly activity called "Lightning Talks" that allows students to practice their public speaking by discussing a topic of their choice to a group of their peers. Tested an API built by a fellow instructor that will change the curriculum for future Cohorts.
