I provided legal counsel, research, and representation for Johnson County personnel, department heads, and elected officials. I negotiated and drafted contracts for various services and products with external vendors and providers. I supported research and negotiations related to incentive creation and business attraction in the County. I also supported redevelopment commission efforts in the County. I was tasked with responding to inquiries and complaints, including public record requests.

I practiced in the following areas: municipal law, business transactions, general corporate counsel, real estate, trademarks and intellectual property, and wills, trust and estate planning.Working under the attorney for Fort Wayne City Council, I prepared resolutions/ordinances and provided advice on the same. I collaborated with various city departments and involved third parties. I also helped respond to public records requests directed at City Council and/or its members.

While waiting to sit for the Indiana bar, I performed document review for an external discovery company and later directly for a law firm on-site.

Member of the NCAA Postgraduate Program with various responsibilities in the Eligibility Center. These ranged from initial eligibility waiver analysis and processing to amateurism certification for incoming student-athletes. I performed legislative analysis for student-athletes and members of the general public by answering questions concerning the application of NCAA legislation. I covered Divisions I, II and III. This area of the NCAA also serves as an intake line for student-athlete concerns or alleged NCAA violations.

With the assistance of another law student in the clinic, the clinic's director, and a practicing attorney in the local area, I worked on the following legal matters: assisted a medical device entrepreneur with negotiations between her and a major hospital system, provided 501c3 application assistance for a local mentoring group, and provided general start-up counsel to a company focused on improving point-of-sale systems. Additionally, the clinic provided early experience and exposure in the following areas: initial consultation; managing the engagement process; researching and preparing of plans of action; creating the necessary work product; and documenting all time and work product completion. I obtained a temporary limited legal license from the Supreme Court of Ohio which permitted me to practice during my semester with the ECDC.
