The Livestock Marketing Information Center (LMIC) is a unique cooperative effort between state university extension specialists, USDA economists, industry cooperators, and Center staff. Resources provided by the Center contribute to economic education and extension efforts, support applied research projects, and policy evaluation conducted by its members. The center, through staff and members, provides a continuous flow of economic analysis and education for livestock producers, industry leaders and policymakers. Market outlook efforts emphasize the next 18 months. Priority industries of the Center are cattle/beef, hogs/pork, sheep/lamb, dairy, poultry, and major feedstuffs (focusing on corn and hay).My current responsibilities include: • Conduct economic analysis, research, and modeling with regards to the livestock and meat industries, domestic emphasis with international incorporation • Communicate and disseminate results of analysis through presentations, written articles, and interviews• Manage and maintain robust livestock, protein, and feedstuffs data set using Excel and Access files• Engage with and develop relationships with members, including Agricultural Economics professors, professional industry experts, USDA agents, and livestock producers across the U.S.

Responsibilities and work experience: • Developed original agricultural economic research concerning aflatoxin contamination in corn production in Central Texas using risk based simulation• Created and maintained a complex stochastic risk analysis model in Simetar ® through Microsoft Excel• Presented scientific results to a variety of audiences, academic and industry
