I came back to public service in 2016 - first with the Department of Energy and now with the Department of Commerce - after two decades consulting to the global automotive industry. There I helped individuals, teams and organizations improve their operations, and by coming back to government I want to help achieve those same impacts but at a national level now. Covering the entire manufacturing value chain from product development through retailing, my passion has been helping companies be the best they can be, while moving us all towards a more sustainable future. In recent years my time has been dedicated to working on innovation policy, renewable energy development, artificial intelligence, and the technologies driving advancements in sustainability. I am a LEED accredited professional (AP), as well as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Energy Manager (CEM).At my core I am an engineer who has spent his career both in the business services world and in government, helping translate complicated technical and financial concepts into strategies to enable private and public sector organizations to succeed. My priority now is to foster the sustainable aspects of the quest for growth, and to leverage my skills in project management, policy analysis, and sustainable manufacturing to help the United States, its companies, and its workers grow and innovate the critical technologies to meet the global challenges of the coming decades.
