As a freelance AI consultant, I spearheaded the development of a comprehensive AI solution for a medical practice, transforming their patient engagement and appointment scheduling process. My role involved architecting an end-to-end system capable of autonomously making phone calls to schedule appointments. Key to this initiative was crafting highly effective prompts for a Large Language Model (LLM) to manage nuanced interactions during these calls. I further innovated by integrating the practice’s calendar with both the calling platform and calendar providers through Python-scripted API calls, ensuring real-time accuracy in appointment scheduling. To address exceptions seamlessly, I designed an intelligent call session management system that facilitated smooth transfers to office staff. Leveraging GPT-3.5, I fine-tuned the model for precise extraction of structured data from call transcripts, enhancing our data handling capabilities. Additionally, I automated the dispatch of SMS confirmations post-call, ensuring clarity in appointment details, and implemented both text and LLM-driven phone call reminders to reduce no-shows. A significant part of my work also included developing custom converters to digitize customer contact information from legacy Point of Sale (POS) system PDF reports into actionable data. Lastly, I engineered a generative AI-driven pipeline that smartly separates full names into first and last, streamlining the data preparation process. This suite of solutions not only elevated the practice's operational efficiency but also significantly improved patient satisfaction and engagement.
