About Lani Gordon

" What do you want to be when you grow up?" my kindergarten teacher asked. I remember saying" I want to be a doctor". Now, I am 20 years old and I am a doctor. A doctor of food. I have always been interested in food, nutrition, and helping people. As a child, I was never a picky eater and have always been the one who helped my parents make nutritious dinners. Now, as a college student, my interest have been an intricate part of my life even more, from gaining more culinary experience, becoming an residential assistant, and working at non-profit organizations. A dietitian incorporates my interest and majoring in Culinary Nutrition provides the culinary and nutrition knowledge I need to be effective dietitian in the future. Hippocrate, known as the father of medicine, said " Let food be thy medicine and medicine by thy food".
