Integrative Art Therapy, PLLC is an integrative practice using an eclectic blend of evidenced based therapies including the Expressive Arts such as visual arts, psychodrama, movement, nature, Eco-Art, music, creative writing, etc. combined with mindfulness, yoga, meditation, nutrition, exercise, and more to provide an integrated approach to Art Therapy. As trained Art Therapists, we see the world, our clients, and their healing through an artist’s lens and use art with the creative process to help clients reconnect with parts of themselves previously disowned, forgotten, or undiscovered. At times, just the basic element of color alone can help us connect to our clients and their creative choices. When they pass a sheet of watercolor paper, so weighted by materials, we can physically feel the load they have been carrying. We can see how trapped they might feel when they bind found objects.Even when words are too tangled to share, the materials speak. This fuels our passion for Art Therapy and our mission to help others heal the wounds that keep them from experiencing the beautiful, creative flow that is life. We understand what it is to be human and experience fear, pain, anger, loss, and the full gamut of emotions that comes with living a brave, compassionate journey.
